County of Lincoln (Idaho)

The county of Lincoln is a county of the the United States located in the State of Idaho. In 2000, the population was of: 4044 inhabitants. Its seat is Shoshone. The county was created in 1895 by partitionnant the county of Blaine and was named in the honor of Abraham Lincoln, president of the United States. In 1913 the county of Lincoln itself is divided into three with the creation of the Comté of Gooding and the Comté of Minidoka. The final borders of the county were established in 1919 when the southern part of the county formed the Comté of Jerome.
