County of Kerry
The county of Kerry , also called The Kingdom (the Kingdom), is located at the south-west of Ireland, between the river Shannon with north and the Atlantic facade in the west. It is delimited in the west by the Comté of Limerick and the Comté of Cork in the south. Its name comes from Irish Chiarraí , who means “people of Ciar”, in reference to a Celtic tribe which lived in this area.
The Peninsula of Dingle and the Boxing ring off Kerry , road panoramic of the peninsula of Iveragh, contributed to make this area one of the engines of Irish tourism.
Its surface is of: 4746 km ² for: 139835 inhabitants.
History
With the Prehistory, the men traversed the peninsulas of the county of Kerry in the search of mineral rare. There remain vestiges large strong castles of the Celtic period.

pink The off Tralee (the pink of Tralee) is also a festival which remained very traditional. This rather important regional festival takes place at the end of August in the peninsula of Dingle. It is about a competition of beauty for women who must be related to Tralee on the one hand or of other.

Tralee, capital of 19.950 inhabitants, is an increasingly important city for tourism of the area with infrastructures of businesses, transport and well developed telecommunications.
