County of Hockley

The county of Hockley (English: Hockley County ) is a county located in the North-West of the State of the Texas at the the United States. It is named in the honor of George Washington Hockley, the secretary of war of the République of Texas. The seat of the county east Levelland. According to the census of 2000, its population is of: 22716 inhabitants.

The county has a surface of: 2353 km ², of which: 2352 km ² on the terrestrial surfaces.
