The county of Hardy is a county of the the United States located in the State of Virginia-Western. In 2000, the population was of: 12669 inhabitants. Its seat is Moorefield. The county was created in 1785 starting from the county of Hampshire and owes its name with the politician of Virginia Samuel Hardy.
