The Comté of Chester is a American county of the State of Pennsylvania. With the census of 2000, the county counted: 433501 inhabitants. It was one of the three original counties of Pennsylvania created by William PEN, in 1682, and was named according to Cheshire in England. The Siège of the county is located at West Chester.
It is about the most prosperous county of Pennsylvania. It in addition forms part of the area of the Vallée of Delaware .
