The county of Cherokee (English: Cherokee County ) is a county located in the North-East of the State of the Texas at the the United States. It is named of the people Cherokee (Tchérokî). The seat of the county east Rusk. According to the census of 2000, its population is of: 46659 inhabitants.

The county has a surface of: 2750 km ², of which: 2725 km ² are of ground.
