County of Chariton

The county of Chariton (Chariton county) is a county of the Missouri to the the United States. The seat of the county is located at Keytesville. The county was created in 1820 and was named in of reference to the river Chariton River. With the census of 2000, the population consisted of 8.438 individuals.
