The county of Bourbon (English: Bourbon County ) is a county located in the State of the Kentucky at the the United States. The seat of the county east Paris. According to the census of 2000, its population is of: 19360 inhabitants.
Because it thus wished to express its gratitude towards the Maison of Bourbon of France which assisted the American Insurrectionists at the time of the Guerre of Independence against the Britanniques (1776-1783), James Garrard, second governor of the Kentucky, proposed the name of Comté of Bourbon when the county was made up.
This county gained then an international repute when a mark of Whiskey locally manufactured took the name of the county.
