The county of Baraga ( Baraga County in English) is located in the west of the higher peninsula of the State of Michigan. Its seat is with the Handle. Its population is 8.746.

Geography

The county has a surface of: 2768 km ², of which: 2341 km ² on the terrestrial surfaces.

The Mount Arvon, culminating point of Michigan, rising with 603 meters above the Sea level, is on the territory of the county.
