County Championship
The County Championship is a national competition of Cricket first-class disputed with the the United Kingdom, mainly in England. Each team represent a traditional Comté of England (except for Glamorgan, which is an old county Welsh).
County Championship took place officially for the first time in 1890. Since 2000, County Championship is divided into two divisions. At the conclusion of the season, the two teams the least best classified in division 1 are relegated in division 2 and the two best teams of this one are promoted in division 1. In each division, each county meets the other teams twice (once in residence, once outside).

System of points
The winner of County Championship is the team which has the most points at the conclusion of the season. The points are marked as follows:Points of no-claims bonus are also allotted. They are obtained according to the statistics at the conclusion of the 130 first overs of the first handle of each team. They are marked whatever the result of the match.
Points of no-claims bonus obtained with the beater:

from 200 to 249 runs: 1 point
- from 250 to 299 runs: 2 points
- from 300 to 349 runs: 3 points
- from 350 to 399 runs: 4 points
- 400 runs or more: 5 points
Points of no-claims bonus obtained with the throw:

from 3 to 5 wickets taken: 1 point
- from 6 to 8 wickets taken: 2 points
- 9 or 10 wickets taken: 3 points

Since 2000
In 2000 was introduced the system of divisions. Until 2005, three teams were promoted in division 1 and three were relegated in division 2 at the conclusion of the season. Since 2006, promotions and relegations concern nothing any more but two teams.
Assessment
The teams of Durham, Gloucestershire, Northamptonshire and Somerset are the only ones not to have gained any title to date.
