Country of Sault

The country of Sault is small a natural Région of France located in the Département of the Aude. On the geographical level, it is a plate located between 990 and 1010 meters of altitude, in the middle of the the Pyrenees. Gathering some small communes, Belcaire is the chief town of canton.

Geography

The country of Sault consists of three unequal plates:
  • Roquefortez,
  • the plate of Rodome,
  • the plate of Espezel-Belcaire-Camurac.

These plates are dug several faults like Carcanet, the throats of Saint-Georges or the procession of the Pierre-Lily. Over the heights, the landscape is dominated by the forests of Sapin S and the pastures.

Economy

The principal activities are the Sylviculture and the breeding of Bovin S.
