Country of Faverges

The country of Faverges is a small area located at the south of the Lac of Annecy. It consists of a valley surrounded of the solid mass of the Wallows, at the west, and end of the chain of Aravis in the east.

The country of Faverges, is a Savoyard country, belonging to the Canton of Faverges, 2nd district of Haute-Savoie, Arrondissement of Annecy, department of Haute-Savoie, area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

Situation

The territory extends about on 12 km from is in west and on 14 km of north in the south.

Located at the south of the Annecy Lake, from which it has a part with Doussard, it consists of a valley surrounded of the solid mass of the Wallows, at the west, and end of the chain of Aravis in the east. In the south the valley continues on Ugine, Albertville, the Vallée of Tarentaise and the Combe of Savoy.
