Countervailing power

The countervailing power is a capacity which is organized vis-a-vis an established authority. It can be a political clout, economic or social and its role causes to restrict the exercise of the capacity in place and to propose an alternative to the decisions of an authority.

For example: elected officials of a party of Opposition, Association S and in particular of the Trade union S, the Media S, Worship S.
