Count de Warwick

The title of count de Warwick is one of the oldest counties of the Pairie of England (today extinct), and is henceforth a title related to the title of Baron Brooke in the Pairie of the United Kingdom, created in 1837.

It was created by Guillaume II the Russet-red, to reward Henri de Beaumont for his assistance at the time of the Rébellion of 1088.

The April 14th 1445, the title of count was transformed into duke of Warwick especially for Henry de Beauchamp († 1445).

  • 1268 - 1298  : William de Beauchamp (about 1240 - 1298), wire of Guillaume Beauchamp and Isabelle Mauduit, sister of the précédent  ;

  • 1445 - 1449  : Anne de Beauchamp (1444 - 1449), countess of Warwick. Girl of the précédent  ;
  • 1449 - 1492  : Anne Neville (1426 - 1492), countess of Warwick. Girl of Richard de Beauchamp  ;
Richard Neville (1428 - 1471), called “ the maker of kings ”, reigned under his femme  ;
  • 1492 - 1499  : Edouard Plantagenet (1475 - 1499), Count de Salisbury.

Titrate confiscated in 1499 following the treason of this last.
