Count Zero (original title: Count Zero ) is a Romance of Science-fiction writes by William Gibson and published for the first time in 1986.
It is a representative of the kind Cyberpunk, located in the same place which the preceding book Neuromancien and is the second volume of the trilogy of the tentacular city, which includes Neuromancien , Count Zero , and Mona LISA bursts .
Two very powerful multinationals are committed in the battle for the control of a technology surpuissante, the biochip, by using hackers and Mercenaire S.
The title of the book is the pseudonym of the hero Bobby Newmark, and is also a word game on a technique of programming: the interruption account zero, which starts when a meter arrives at zero.
There are several other main characters: Turner is a mercenary engaged for exfiltrer Mitchell, the inventor of the biochips, Marly, a person in charge of an art gallery, is engaged by Virek, a patron phenomenally rich, to find the creator of the boxes Joseph Cornell, and finally Bobby, which is found in brain death whereas it tests a military IA without his knowledge.
