Counaxa
Counaxa or Cunaxa , in Greek old Κούναξα/ Kounaxa was a town of Perse, located on the edges of the Euphrate.
In 401 av. J. - C., it was the theater of a battles between Artaxerxès II Mnèmon and its brother, Cyrus the Young person, during whom this last was overcome and killed. Its Mercenaire S Greek then carried out the famous retirement of the Ten Thousand, told in the Anabase of Xénophon.
