  • With the hamlet of Chamery the memorial of lieutenant Quentin Roosevelt killed in aerial combat on July 14th, 1918, wire of the former president Theodore Roosevelt. This one, on its bed of death expressed the desire that the value of the Nobel Prize received in 1905, serf with the erection of one monument to the memory of his/her son. The sculptor Paul Cret was chosen by Mrs Roosevelt who wished that the monument was also of public utility, the old feeding trough was then transformed into public fountain where an allegorical inscription and cartridges evoke Quentin Roosevelt.
