General Couin

Gunner with the regiment of artillery of Auxonne in 1780, corporal furrier in 1791, lieutenant in 1st in artillery with horse of the legion of North in 1792. It is useful in the Vendée (see Guerre of the Vendée), in the Armée with the Western Pyrenees then in Italy. Wounded with Arcole, captain with the company of the guides in Egypt. Major ordering artillery of the consular guard in 1803. Brigadier general ordering artillery of the Guard in 1806. Passed in the line in consequence of the suppression of the use of colonel in 2nd, consequence of irregularities in the purchases of horses and clothing, December 15th, 1808. Ordering under Moncey artillery of the 2nd body of observation of the Gironde. Artillery general inspector in 1810; ordering artillery of the body of observation of Italy in 1812. Ordering artillery of the 5th Large army corps in September 1813. It made the countryside of France and was allowed with the retirement at the end of December 1814.
