Couffoulens

Couffoulens is located at 7 kilometers in the south of Carcassonne. Commune located at the Confluent of the Aude and the Lauquet.

History

The first traces of civilization exists since the 6th century before J. - C. In Couffoulens exists a necropolis, Las Peyros, which has many tombs dating from the 6th century before J. - C. with approximately 500 before J. - C.
