Coudray-Saint-To germinate It is a common French, located in the department of the Oise and the area Picardy.

Geography

Holy Coudray To germinate is located on the plate of Thelle, with 230m of altitude. It is located at the borders of the Ile de France, close to Normandy, between Gournay-in-Bray and Beauvais.

History

The commune was called: Coldretum in 1178, Couldray in 1550, the couldray into thelle since the revolution and Coudray ST to germinate in 1840. Louis the Young person made gift, in 1153, with the abbey Saint-To germinate of Fly, of the soils and wood to build a maitairie there. The village developed starting from this foundation and became enough important to be made up in community and equipped with a church in 1215. In 1383, Charles VI authorized the monks to build a fortress there. This fortress disappeared in 1400 as all the remainder from the village due the Burgundian ones. Routis, hamlet of Coudray (named Ruates in 1190) counted 150 inhabitants in 1840.Ce hamlet is composed of a score of houses laid out so as to form two streets and a place. In the south of Routis, existed a hamlet named Monplaisir which counted about thirty inhabitants in the middle of XIXéme. Tronquet and Aunay counted each one a score of inhabitants during this same time. Coudray became chief of canton in 1795. Its arrow, out of brick, culminates with 230m, which does one of most the points of the department. Splendid chorus of XVIéme century. It contains also classified objets d'art; Saint-Babolein Hunting, exceptional work of goldsmithery made up of various periods of XIéme in XIIIéme century, Romanesque art and Gothic. It is classified historic building since June 17th, 1901, and it appears in the inventory of the treasures of the Churches of France since 1965. Vault of Holy-Anne: Laurent de Pillière, obtains, on April 13rd, 1643, of the bishop of Beauvais, the permission to build a vault in his manor of Tronquet; it is dedicated to Holy-Anne and still exists.

Rene Samson: Born on January 14th, 1908 in Villeneuve on batch. Teacher in Holy Coudray To germinate of 1931 to 1963, he is the author of historical writings on the village. Deceased in Paris in 1991.
