Cotija

Cotija is a city located in the Western cordillera veined, in the nort-West part of the state Michoacan Mexico City. and it is known for its cheese abundance of cotija. It is also the birthplace of Marcial Maciel. Cotija is also known under the name of Cotija of Paz, Michoacán.

Certain specialists compare the town of Cotija of Paz with the imaginary city of Comala, in the famous Mexican novel Pedro Páramo .
