The current church was built in 1908, the primitive sanctuary already being quoted in 1196 and being located opposite the old church known the site of carpark. It was destroyed at the beginning of the XXe century. At the origin, church of the Virgin, already quoted in the works of the abbey of Gembloux in XIIe century on which it remained dependant until 1441. After several restorations, it was rebuilt at the beginning of last century opposite the old sanctuary. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, it has very beautiful baptismal font carved in XIIIe century. A little further, street O. Lotin, in the schoolyard guardian, with the shelter of the glances, appreciably at the same time that the present church, was set up a cave, retorts that of Beauraing.
- the French Museum , founded the shortly after the second world war by fire Mr. Roger Lombeau, in the buildings of the old school and the communal house of the village, this museum recalls the great moments of the Operations of Dyle and the Battle of Gembloux in May 1940. The force of representation of the details, the importance of the visits and the number of frequentations gave him a European reputation.
- the fitted Brunehaut (locality Gatte), Roman way. A section of the roadway of Brunehaut delimits the layout of the border between the Commune of Chastre and the Town of Gembloux to the Penteville locality. While arriving of the street Try of Hard, one notices on the line a light bulge of the ground where archaeological excavations updated the vestiges of a Roman villa and various objects currently visible with the Archaeological Museum of Namur.
- the field of Chastre , street of Gembloux. Better known under the name of the O.N.E., this building is established on the site of a very old farm known as Ferme of Dîme. This one was debtor dîme, that is to say a tenth of its incomes, with the Abbey of Gembloux. It is the Baron Auguste of Husks of Wastinne which, in 1844, made it cut down to build its castle there. After the death of the baron, about 1900, the castle was occupied by a religious congregation: " Ladies of co. Julienne". After the Great War, the O.N.E acquired the castle and installed a colony for children there. During the Battle of Gembloux, in May 40, the castle had to suffer much and was never completely repaired. In July 1940 the colony took again its activities, lodging a maximum of children until 1982 when, for financial reasons, it had to cease its activities. Let us note which castle of the Baron Auguste of Husks of Wastinne had been shaven in 1957-58 to make place with the current buildings. The ASBL “Field of Chastre” was created on June 24th, 1991 and gathers, in partnership with the O.N.E., the commune of Chastre (elementary school of Cortil-Noirmont), the CPAS of Chastre, the Inter-commune one of Social Works of the Brabant Wallon and the Crib become one of the references of the French Community.

tombs of Noirmont , two tumuli Gallo-Roman (160 apr. J-C). The tumuli Gallo-Romans were explored duant the years 1870-1874. The excavations reflect up to date a rich person together objects of great quality probably dating from IIe century, preserved at the royal Museums of Art and History in Brussels. These tumuli is without any doubt of the Roman monuments but to which were dedicated, that nobody knows it. The most plausible assumption seems to lean for soldiers killed at the time of a battle. However the warlike character not very, the richness and the refined taste of the objects discovered make it possible to suppose that they could be notable or rich tradesmen.
- the parish church Saint-Pierre (1780), Christ of the XVIIe century. She was built in 1780 on the site of an extremely old church, probably of XIVe century. This one was plundered after the battle of Gembloux (January 31st, 1578). The church contains several steles with epitaphs sealed in the external and interior walls. The church, dedicated to St-Pierre, is relatively recent since it goes back to 1782. She was restored in 1906 and 1926; the roof of the bell-tower was repaired in April 1988. It is a small traditional, rather massive, made church blue bricks and stones which frame the coupled windows of the XXe century and delimit the angles of the building; while the base consists of hardcores. The current stained glasses were placed under the priesthood of the Goguin Father in 1991. The bell-tower, relatively low, consists of a small square tower, surmounted traditional arrow. The bedside is in half-circle. The interior comprises only one nave, with the angles rounded and convex vault, prolonged by the chorus in apse and preceded by a surmounted porch of the tower; one notices there the cradle with glasses of jubé. Its furniture is very simple: baptismal font very stripped out of blue stone of the XVIIIe century. Also, small a Christ of XVIIe who was always preserved in the sacristy. Lastly, belonging to the currently being inheritance with Wavre (museum), a small Virgin of martyrdom and a St-Pierre out of polychrome wooden who would be XVIIe century.
- the vault Holy-Adele (restored in 1994)
- the vault Holy-Brigitte , street of the Aviators. The vault is located opposite the farm of the Tower, on the other side of the way.
- the farm of the Tower , street of the Aviators. This imposing farm is all that it remains of the architectural whole of old the baronnie of Noirmont, the castle having completely disappeared. Harrewijn, draftsman of the time, carried out a representation at the XVIIe century of it.
- the farm Dewilde is a building imposing typically brabançons. It is a farm at interior court known as square, whose buildings are laid out in form of quadrilateral around a central court. These farms brabançonnes almost always had only one main door made up of a porch with " colombier"
- the mill of Cortil , street of the Level. The Mill is already mentioned in XIVe century in the files of the abbey of Gembloux. Its current establishment, with the confluence of the Flowering ash and Ry d' Ernage, goes back to 1765. The marshy grounds bordering the rivers offer a very diversified flora and a fauna. The building rebuilt in 1865, after a serious fire, associates all in length cattle sheds, mill, handing-over and barns. The mill is a brick construction of four levels; each level is easily accessible by a door and two windows. Side of the wheel, the wall presents a high limestone base resting on piles of oak. Although the mill ceased its activities in 1976, the machinery presents a good state of conservation; the primitive steam engine made place with diesel engines thereafter. Neat restoration of the mill and the level, operated by the owner with the assistance of several members of the ASBL " Noirmont-Environnement" was registered in complement of two other initiatives: the project Biodiversity of the Foundation King Baudouin, supported by the commune of Chastre, and the contract of river of Dyle undertaken within the framework of the valorization of regional tourism.
