Pasquiaud , in edge of the Loire in the estuary, opposite Donges, was one of the dwellings of the painter Nantes landscape designer Charles the Russet-red one (1814-1895). His wife Marie Euphémie Affilé accepted this field in 1848, of the hands of her negotiating grandfather with Paimboeuf. The couple received the friends painters there: Daubigny, Theodore Rousseau, Gustave Gilded, Louis Cabat, Camille Corot (the bouquets painted on the walls of the living room are allotted to him) etc… Charles the Russet-red one had his workshop in a nearby mill: the Perret mill. One can see with the museum of Orsay table " Meadow and marsh of Corsept to the mouth of the Loire in August " presented to the Living room of 1859.
