Corrosion off Conformity

Corrosion off Conformity ( COC ) is a group of heavy American metal.

History

The group starts in the Punk hardcore in 1982 before moving towards metal while playing with Slayer. COC is thus one of the first groups to have associated the punk one and the heavy metal. With beginning of the year 90, after changes of personnel and in particular the arrival of Pepper Keenan, COC becomes “a true” group of metal.

In 1991, the group is its first great success with the title Vote with has Bullet present on the album Blind . The dedication comes in 1994 with Deliverance and the participation in the compilation-homage to Black Sabbath: Nativity In Black , with the resumption of Lord off this World . In 1996, James Hetfield takes part in the recording of Wiseblood and COC turns with Metallica. More recently, COC turned to the Stoner rock'n'roll.

The members of COC belong to other groups, as Pepper Keenan which plays of the guitar in the group Down which includes/understands also Phil Anselmo (ex- Pantera).
