Coronelía

The coronelía (of Spanish coronel , in French colonel ) is a unit of the Spanish army, created by Gonzalve de Cordoue, the Gran Capitán , by using its military experiment acquired on the battle fields of the Guerres of Italy and in particular the organization of the troops of Mercenaire S Suisse S.

The coronelía is made up of 6  000 men, under the orders of a Colonel, of which 3  000 Piquier S, 2  000 infantrymen armed with a sword and a Targe, and 1  000 arquebusiers . It can be broken up into 12 Bataille S of 500 men, each one ordered by a Capitaine.

Two coronelías to which two squadrons of heavy riders and two are added squadrons of light riders form an armed , with the head of which one finds a General Capitaine .

The coronelía precedes the famous Tercio S of the century of Spanish gold.
