Cornillon-in-Trièves

Cornillon-in-Trièves is a common French located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Geography

Cornillon in Trièves is a commune of the south Isere and center of Trièves. It is located at approximately 50 kilometers in the south of Grenoble. The culminating point of the commune is Large Fays which rises with 1106 meters of altitude. The point low of the commune is on the banks of the Lake Monteynard (famous for the veliplanchists)

Localities and variations

There exist three principal hamlets: Villard Julien (780 m of altitude), Large Oriol (820 m) and Small Oriol, (750 m). One can also note the presence of various small hamlets (some houses or farms): The Barn of the Baron, the castle of Cornillon, Combe d' Andrieu, Aubépin, Richards, Blanchardeyres, the Citadel.
