Coin of table is a Peinture of Henri Fantin-Latour presented to the Living room of 1872.
After Homage to Delacroix (1864) then a workshop in Batignolles (1870), gathering the painters whom he admired, the artist attacks the Poète S of sound time. It represents there a company of poets at the end of a meal. Among the latter, we can distinguish, sitted with the extreme left, Verlaine and Rimbaud, that the painter isolates from the others as if it had located their single talent, different, promise of a certain posterity.
These other guests are, from left to right, Pierre Elzéar (Elzéar Bonnier), Leon Valade, Emile Blémont, Jean Aicard, Ernest d' Hervilly and Camille Pelletan.
