Corinne and Jeannot

Presentation of the two characters

Corinne and Jeannot are above all the assistants of the band with Totoche since its beginnings in 1959. This particularly explosive duet is made conspicuous by their relation within the band of buddies. Indeed Jeannot is in love, well unconsciously of Corinne and this one spends its time playing to him of the most hanging turns. Finally when Jeannot decides in its turn to return the currency of its coin to him, it fails each fois.
In 1966, their creator, the draftsman Tabary decides to make them live their adventures, especially in gags in a board. To these two characters then the policeman Bodard is added who systematically will always take the defense of mischievous Corinne to the detriment of poor Jeannot.
The beginnings of the adventures of Corinne and Jeannot appear in the number 1075 of December 19th, 1965 of the weekly magazine Vaillant the newspaper of Conk. It is about a band on a page entitled: " Thursdays of Corinne and Jeannot" , often on last page. The last board will be published in Pif gadget in 1972.

A magazine with the pocket format published by the editions Valiant, entitled: " Hit parades comic Poche" will appear of 1976 to 1978 with 9 numbers, of which N° 3 (12/76), 4 (7/77) and 6 (12/77) devoted to Corinne and Jeannot.

In 1979 appear " nasty tricks of Corinne with Jeannot " presented in pocket format, printed in black and white and which were published by the " Editions of Seguinière" , name which those carried then which were going to become the Tabary Editions. 14 numbers will appear. Editor association was Francis Slomka, which presented during three years (1976 to 1979) a weekly heading on the Cartoon on Antenna 2 ( One on five , Wednesday afternoon).

In 1999, Jean Tabary will publish the " Magazine of Corinne and Jeannot" from February in November 1999. It will include/understand 9 numbers, 10 if one counts number zero published in private circle, like test.
