corded Poisson-papillon of the Pacific ( Chaetodon lunulatus ) is a Espèce of Poisson S of the family of the Chaetodontidae.

Sub-genus

The corded butterfly fish of the Pacific is a butterfly fish which belongs to the sub-genus Corallochaetodon . In 1984, André Maugé and Roland Bauchot proposed to integrate this sub-genus in a new kind, Mesochaetodon , which would give like scientific name for this fish Mesochaetodon lunulatus .

Morphology

  • Size: up to 14 cm.

Its body is clear (white with yellow) with small blue longitudinal bands. The caudal stalk is gray.

It is a coral fish, and which nourishes coral.

The corded butterfly fish of the Pacific meets in the Pacific Ocean, as its name indicates it.

Use

One can meet this fish out of aquarium, but it is difficult to nourish, because of its very specialized food.
