Coppélia, or the Girl with the eyes of enamel is a Ballet in two acts and three tables of Arthur Saint-Leon, on a booklet of Charles Nuitter, music of Léo Delibes, according to the Conte of Hoffmann the Man with the sand , represented for the first time at the Opéra of Paris the May 25th 1870.

Synopsis

The booklet puts in Swanilda scene, its promised in marriage Frantz and the Coppélius old man, manufacturer of headstocks automats, of which the ambition is to create gifted of a heart.
