Copeia
Copeia is a quarterly scientific publication American devoted to the Ichtyologie and the Herpétologie. Its name commemorates Edward Drinker Cope (1840-1897), an important figure of zoology of the the United States. It is the publication of the American Society off Ichthyologists and Herpetologists.
History
It is the December 27th 1913 which John Treadwell Nichols (1883-1958) publishes the first number of Copeia . This number consisted of only one sheet of paper folded in order to form four pages and which contained five article. The cover carries this sentence:- Published by the contributors to advance the science off coldblooded vertebrates .
