Convey UIC

The cars UIC bear the name of the International union of the Railroads, because it was the first series of the SNCF to apply the recommendations of the organization. They were studied by the division of the studies of the cars (''' DEV. ''').

Origin

Among the recommendations of UIC, one can quote:
  • intercommunication between cars by pads out of rubber in the place of the bellows,

  • unification of the electric systems: the connection between cars of different countries becomes simple,

The first order intervened in 1960, and the delivery in 1963. The last deliveries will be done at the same time as the first Voiture Coral S.

Delivered

On their arrival, the cars cover the green uniform coach generalized, with for only eccentricity a yellow band on the cars of First class above bays.
