Convention of juggling
A convention of juggling is a Festival gathering amateurs and professionals around the topic of the Jonglerie.
These regroupings make it possible the Jongleur S of all levels to meet and exchange around their practice, to see Spectacle S or to take part in workshops ( workshops ). These meetings favourable with the positive emulation are according to the jugglers themselves the best means of progressing.
The first national convention is born with the the United States in 1948; the IJA Festival festival its 60 edition in 2007.
In Europe, the European Convention of juggling annually gathers people of all the countries during one week. It celebrates in 2007 its 30e edition.

Convention of juggling in France
France has point of disjunction five EJC: in 1983 with Laval with (200 people), in 1987 with Holy (1000 people), in 1996 and 1999 with (Grenoble (2200, 2300 people) and finally in 2004 with Carvin with historical records of 4500 people.Nowadays, there exist conventions in the near total of the French areas, gathering from 300 to 1000 participants according to the extent and the localization of the event.
There exist conventions of several big cities of France:
- Jonglissimo with Rheims
- Boudu juggles it with Toulouse
- Hopla Convention Strasbourg since 2003 - 4th edition in 2007
- the Balls Equip with Belleville to Paris 10th edition in 2007
In 2007 took place the first convention of juggling of Contact.
For its tenth edition in July 2008, the Convention of Carvin which accommodated the EJC in 2004 will be the first convention of French national juggling.
