The continental China is an expression indicating the Popular republic of China without HongKong and Macao. This expression mainly makes it possible to distinguish it from the places under sovereignty of the République of China: Taiwan, Quemoy, Matsu, Wuchiu, Taiping and Pratas.

continental China makes it possible to speak about the Popular republic of China (RPC) without falling into the controversy from the Statut from Taiwan. The inhabitants of HongKong and Macao use also this term to speak about China which durably colonized forever. Having clean legal systems, these places escape the partly censures Internet.

The State Popular republic of China controls only continental China (more HongKong and Macao). On the other hand, according to the Chinese of RPC and certain inhabitants of Taiwan, the China recovers the unit which form the RPC and Taiwan).

The Westerners often assimilate the terms RPC and China. However China being included/understood like Chinese world by the Chinese, to use term RPC or of popular China avoids the amalgam between the Chinese nation with the thousand-year-old culture and the people managed in this moment by the Chinese Communist party.
