Contest Rotary drill of music for youth
The Rotary contest of music for youth was created by the Club Rotary drill “Moscow International” in 2002. This contest became international as from 2004; in March 2008 will take place thus the 6th edition of the contest in the concert hall of the Conservatoire Tchaïkovski of Moscow.
This contest is supported by the most famous Russian musicians, like Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, or Natalia Gutman, which was president of the jury in 2004.
The participants must send via a Club Rotary drill (preferably of their city or their country) a recording showing their interpretation of pieces of the traditional repertory; support: either video cassette, or DVD. They can choose, either a piece from 20 to 30 minutes, or 2 pieces from 10 to 15 minutes, or 3 pieces from 7 to 10 minutes.
The Jury will choose the 14 best candidates, who will be thus invited to the semi-finals in Moscow. After a public hearing, 7 the best will take part in the finale.
