Contea di Sclafani Perricone

The Contea di Sclafani Perricone is a red Wine Italian of the area Sicily equipped with a name DOC. since August 21st, 1996. Only to DOC. the wines collected inside the surface of production defined by the decree are entitled. The authorized vineyards are located in Province of Palermo in the communes of Valledolmo, Caltavuturo, Alia and Sclafani Bagni like partly on the territory of the communes Petralia Sottana, Castellana Sicula, Castronovo di Sicilia, Cerda, Aliminusa, Montemaggiore Belsito and Polizzi Generosa like in Vallelunga Pratameno and Villalba in Province of Caltanissetta and in the commune Cammarata in Province of Agrigente.

The red wine of the Contea di Sclafani Perricone answers a schedule of conditions less demanding than the Contea di Sclafani Perricone riserva, primarily in relation to a 2 years ageing and a higher alcohol content for the riserva.
