Consumer Electronics Show

The To consume Electronic Show or THESE became the most important living room devoted to the technological innovation in consumer electronics. It is held annually with Las Vegas with the Nevada and it is organized by the Consumer Electronics Association. .

Launched for the first time in 1967 with New York with 200 exhibitors and 17.500 participants, it THESE is held then 2 times per annum of 1978 with 1994, once in January in Las Vegas under the name of Winter Consumer Electronics Show (WCES) and once in June with Chicago in the Illinois, under the name of Summer Consumer Electronics Show (SCES). It has once taken place from now on for several years per annum, at the beginning of January, in Las Vegas.

With the convergence of the entertainment electronics, data processing, of Internet and télécoms, it THESE supplanted old the Comdex which was also held in Las Vegas a few weeks earlier. At the time of this living room, new products or their versions béta are presented and of future announced products. From now on, the presidents of the principal companies of the sector make there interventions known under the name of keynotes

In 2007, the living room celebrated its 40e birthday, bringing together 2700 exhibitors resulting of more than 110 countries, out of 550.000 m ². More than 150.000 professional visitors were awaited.
