Constitution of Lower Saxony

The Constitution of Lower Saxony of May 19th, 1993 ( of Niedersächsische Verfassung vom 19. May 1993 , NV) is current the Constitution Land of Lower Saxony; it was adopted on May 19th, 1993 and came into effect the next on June 1st.

It replaced the Provisional constitution of Lower Saxony of April 13rd, 1951 ( of Vorläufige Niedersächsische Verfassung vom 13. April 1951 , VNV), which was in force since 1951 and which, in the same way as the Fundamental law of the Federal Republic of Germany in the beginning, was to be useful only until the reunification of the country.
