Constitution of Lebanon
The Constitution of Lebanon was adopted the May 23rd 1926.
The constitution was modified following the signed Accord of Taëf the October 23rd 1989.
The constitution envisages a system multiconfessionel in Lebanon. Thus, for example, all the seats of the Parliament are reserved according to the confessions and of the areas; moreover, one system of Troika is set up so that the control of the country is made by three leaders resulting from the three majority confessions of Lebanon: president Maronite, Prime Minister sunnite and Shiite president of the assembly .
