Constitution of California
The Constitution of California is the document which establishes and describes the duties, capacities, the structure and the function of the government of the state of California, with the the United States. The original constitution, adopted in 1849 by the Republic of preceding California the accession of California to the statute of state in 1850, was supplanted by the current constitution, which was ratified in 1879. Since 1911 the Constitution of California was amended about 425 times.
Differences compared to the other constitutions
Contrary to the majority of the others Constitution S, that of California is rather long (110 pages). This length was allotted to a variety of factors, for example the lack of faith compared to the official elected officials and the fact that the majority of the initiatives take the form of constitutional amendments.
