Constitution of Bayonne
The constitution of Bayonne is the text approved with Bayonne the July 8th 1808, by a “National Assembly” of seventy-five notable Spanish, by whom the mode of Absolute monarchy of the Spain is replaced by a Constitutional monarchy, of Napoleonean inspiration.
As of the July 9th, Joseph Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon, enter to Spain, to take possession of its new kingdom, under the name of Joseph Ier (Jose I), after that of Naples yielded the July 15th to Murat.
