Biography

With died of his/her mother Constantin de Hohenzollern-Hechingen became duke of Sagan. In 1850, it yielded to the king Prussia the principality of Hechingen against a life annuity of 10.000 thalers. On this date, he lived with the prerogatives of a prince of the Prussian royal family with Löwenberg in Silesia.

Impassioned music, it took part largely in the creation of the German association of music.

He died on September 3rd, 1869 in his property in Silesia.

He was buried with the church Saint-Jacob d' Hechingen at the sides of his first wife.

Genealogy

Constantin de Hohenzollern-Hechingen belongs to the fourth branch (line of Hohenzollern-Hechingen) resulting from the first branch of the Maison of Hohenzollern. This fourth line belongs to the branch souabe of the dynasty of Hohenzollern, it died out with him in 1869.
