Constancy of Sancerre
Constancy or Countess or Gertrude de Sancerre (° after 1221 - + after 1275), countess of Nesle, lady of Marchéville partly and the Magnifying glass, Concressault, and of part of Châtillon-on-Loing, girl of Etienne II of Sancerre and Eléonore de Nesle. (1221-1275),
In 1239, Constance marries Adam II of Melun (°~1190 or 1215 - + crossed with Damiette the February 9th 1250), Viscount of Melun, lord of Montreuil-Bellay (1244), wire of Guillaume II of Melun (1190- May 4th, 1221), Viscount of Melun, and Agnes Berlay (1190-1238), lady of Montreuil-Bellay in Anjou. Of which posterity.
It confirmed with the Abbaye of Barbel, located at 8 kilometers south-eastern of Melun, Wednesday before the festival of Saint-Pierre-with-Bonds 1260, alms that Etienne II of Sancerre, his/her father, had made there, pled at the Parliament the year 1263 jointly with Alix de Sancerre her sister, rams of Dangu, against Etienne de Sancerre their brother. She still lived in 1275.
Constancy and Adam had 8 children of which.
