Conrad of the Turn-Châtillon of Zurlauben , brother of Happy Jacques Ier of the Turn-Châtillon of Zurlauben, was during eight years lieutenant with the Swiss guards, close to Louis XIV. Named in 1675, colonel of the Regiment of Furstemberg, governor of the Castle of Zwoll in Holland, and 1676, sergeant of the French Army, it was useful glorieusement in Catalogne; it was distinguished, in 1677, with the Siège of Puicerda, and, in he was general inspector of infantry in the Roussillon and the Catalogne. To reward it, Louis XIV gave him, in 1681, two seigniories in the High-Alsace. Created, in 1682, knight of the Order of Saint-Michel, it died the same year with Perpignan.
