He was Duc Ścinawa (1278 - 1284) and of Żagań (1284 - 1304).
Youth
When Conrad II of Głogów dies, it is still too young to reign. In 1267, Conrad appears for the first time in the History while taking part in the Canonization of his/her grandmother Sainte Hedwige of Silesia. Ten years later, one finds it beside his brother Henri III of Głogów, taking part in military forwarding against Boleslas II the Bald person who had removed Henri IV the Juste and had locked up it in its Château of Legnica. It ends in a defeat the April 24th 1277 against the army of the duchy of Legnica, directed by Henri V the Large, the son of Boleslas II the Bald person.
Duke of Ścinawa
In 1278, the territory of his/her father is divided between his three sons. Conrad obtains the duchy of Ścinawa. He does not exert the power and leaves in Italy (Bologna) to study and intend himself for a career within the Église. During its absence, it is Henri IV the Juste who ensures the Régence duchy of Ścinawa. Conrad returns to the country in 1280 but Henri IV refuses to return his duchy to him. He recovers it later only one year, following the pressure exerted by the bishop of Wrocław Thomas II Zaremba and in exchange of an oath of fidelity in Henri IV.
Duke of Żagań
Under pressure of duke of Wrocław Henri IV Juste, which prefers to have neighbors who are completely devoted to him, he must exchange his duchy against that of his/her Przemko brother, combined of Henri IV. He thus becomes the duke of Żagań in 1284.
Conrad occupies various functions within the Church (with Lubusz and Wrocław). In 1292, he is even candidate to become bishop of Wrocław but without success.
At the beginning, the agreement was perfect with his/her brother Henri III of Głogów. They are perfectly plain after the tragedy death of their Przemko brother to the battle of Siewierz the February 26th 1289 and the annexation of the duchy of Ścinawa by Henri IV the Juste. Conrad supports Henri III when this one negotiates with Przemysl II after the death of Henri IV. It still supports it in its war against Henri V the Large one.
In 1296, the relations with his/her brother worsen abruptly when Conrad II prefers to play its personal chart during the conflict which opposes Henri III to Bolko Ier Severe the to take the control of the duchy of Wrocław.
The March 5th 1299, Conrad receives a new chance to start again its career within the Church and Henri III is delighted finally to receive the duchy of Żagań. The post of bishop of Aquilée is offered to him. On the way of Italy, he learns that the Pape Boniface VIII is opposed to its nomination and he returns in Żagań. This return displeases in Henri III who imprisons his brother. Following the intervention many vassal and men of the church (that even was until the Excommunication), Henri III must release his brother and return his duchy to him. The relations between the two brothers are heated thereafter.
Conrad II the Uneven one dies the October 11th 1304. It is buried with the Monastère Cistercien S of Lubiąż. After the death of Conrad II, Henri III of Głogów annexes finally the duchy of Żagań.
