Conrad II the Salic one

Biography

Conrad II Salic the was king of Germanie and King of the Romans to Mainz in 1024, succeeding Henri II says the Saint, the last of the dynasty of the Saxons or Ottoniens.

Distance descending from Othon I {{er}} by his/her daughter, Liutgarde, died in 953, mother of Othon de Carinthie, him even father of Henri de Franconie which gave birth to Conrad II, it inaugurated the dynasty franconienne. The March 26th 1027, it was crowned emperor in Rome, of the hands of the pope Jean XIX. In May 1037 it promulgates the edictum beneficiis which establishes the heredity of the old Italian strongholds.
