Conie
The Conie is a French river , affluent of the Loir out of left bank. It is of this fact a tributary of a tributary of the the Loire by the Loir then the Maine. It runs in the departments of the Loiret and Eure-et-Loir. It is a river beauceronne.
Geography
It is a resurgence of the tablecloth of Beauce. Long, Conie 34 kilometers occurs in the Département of Loiret close to Patay, where it has the characteristic… to run at the same time towards the the Loire (while losing itself in way) and towards the Loir (if the tablecloth is high).
Another Conie, affluent of the first and called Rau Conie is born with the north-north-east from Orgères-in-Beauce, on the commune of Germignonville. It is thrown in Conie principal or Conie de Varize (also called Conie Palue) on the level of Nottonville.
A little after the meeting both Conie principal is the Goure de Spoy, on the commune of Nottonville, a deep basin from 8 to 10 meters where it seems that the head waters of the two valleys gather in a kind of tank. It is only starting from Goure that Conie is done perennial, and deserves to be called river then. (See)
The mouth is located at one kilometer upstream Marboué, small town being between Bonneval and Châteaudun. The course of Conie is one cannot more diversified; a great part presents marshes covered of reeds, called the rouche locally.

Hydrology
Compared with the other rivers of the basin of the Dormouse, Conie is a very regular river, undoubtedly one of most regular of the country, profiting from the tablecloth of Beauce which acts like a gigantic regulator. The essence of its flow comes indeed from this tablecloth, and the discharge of river is largely dependant on the level of water in the tablecloth.
-
the tablecloth of Beauce has a storage capacity estimated at 20 billion cubic meters, is 20 kilometers cubic or a score of time the volume of the Lac of Annecy… It plays a regulating part of the very important flow of the rivers, because it contributes to the natural food of the rivers which are bound to him, the such Loing, the Loir, the the Essonne, the Conie , etc It provides to the whole of these rivers a mass of approximately 500 million m ³ per annum on average, that is to say 16 m ³ a second approximately.
The flow of Conie was observed for one 16 years period (1970-1985), with Conie-Molitard, locality very close to its confluence with the Loir. The catchment area of the river is there of 510 km ² is almost the totality of this one which makes 530 km ².
The interannual medium flow or module of the river with Conie-Molitard is of 2,63 m ³ a second.
Conie has only light seasonal oscillations of flow, being able to summarize itself at one long period of high waters and a short low water level of summer. The high waters have a flow average monthly magazine from 2,5 to 3 m ³ a second, of at the beginning of October at the end of June (with a very light in March maximum and in May). As of at the beginning of July the flow weakens to quickly reach its minimum which is of 1,83 m ³ in August.
With the low water level the VCN3 can fall until 0,55 m ³, in the event of dry quinquennial period, that is to say 550 liters a second, which cannot be regarded as too severe, and is due to a strong drawdown in the underground layer. The VCN3 is the past minimal quantity or minimal flow over three days consecutive.
As for the risings, they are hardly important. The QIX 2 and QIX 5 or calculated flows of biennial and quinquennial rising are worth respectively 4 and 6,1 m ³ a second. The QIX 10 or calculated flow of decennial rising is of 7,4 m ³ a second, the QIX 20 of 8,7 m ³, while the QIX 50 was not calculated fault one duration of sufficient observation (see note).
The recorded maximum instantaneous flow with Conie-Molitard during this period, was of 5,51 m ³ a second on September 1st, 1980, while the recorded maximum daily output was of 7,55 m ³ a second on March 9th, 1982.
Conie is a not very abundant, but very regular river. The Lame of water past in its catchment area is of 163 millimetres annually, which is definitely lower than the average of the basin of the Loire (244 millimetres), but appreciably higher than the average of the basin of the Loir (129 millimetres). The specific Flow of the river (or Qsp) reached of this fact 5,2 liters a second and per square kilometer of basin.
