Congregation of the Mission

Born at the XVIIe century from the experiment made by saint Vincent from Paul from spiritual and body misery the most stripped from, the purpose of the Société of the Priests of the Mission is essential to follow Christ Evangelist of the poor.

In bond with the clergy diocesan, the Company of the Priests of the Mission is present through various forms of evangelization: itinerant parochial missions, training of the future priests and missions in the poor countries.

It comprises laic priests and brothers, all and sundry engaged in the action missionary.

The spirit of the Congregation is to follow Christ evangelist of the poor, such as Vincent saint discovered it in the Gospel: “It sent to évangéliser the poor to me”. LLC 4,18.

  • the mission: Sent to announce Christ with the poor by his Word and to celebrate it in the sacraments.

  • Community life: It is expressed in the fraternal communion, simplicity and humility. It is division of the mission and the prayer.

  • spiritual life: Mission and Community life find their dynamism in the contemplation of Jesus-Christ, Fils sent by the Father.

Community prayer, spiritual speech, Eucharistie and divisions.

“Our vocation is a continuation of that of Jesus-Christ, to make known God with the poor, to announce Jesus-Christ to them, to say to them that the Kingdom of heaven is close and that it is for the poor. Oh! that is large!”
