Congregation of Dominican of the Saint Name of Jesus

The congregation of the Dominicaines of the Saint Name of Jesus is a female catholic religious congregation created in France at the beginning of the 19th siècle.

Foundation

Congregation founded in 1800 by a priest of the diocese of Toulouse, the abbot François Vincent (or Vincens) helped by some old members of the congregation of the Jesus Child, " Ladies of Saint-Maur".

Spirituality

Of Dominican spirituality, the sisters of the Saint Name of Jesus were affiliated with the Ordre of the Preachers (Dominican) on August 4th, 1886 via the Father Cormier, 76ème main general of the order.
