Confusion is Sex is an album of the group Sonic Youth. It left for the first time in 1983 on the labels Neutral and Zensor, then was republished in 1987 by the label SST and in 1995 by Geffen, with the EP Kill Yr Idols in no-claims bonus. The pieces Protect me You and Shaking Hell also appear on this last. The piece Freezer Burn/I Wanna Be Yr Dog is an instrumental piece (Burn Freezer) connected with a live resumption of I Wanna Be Your Dog of the Stooges.

The piece Brother James is present on Kill yr Idols as on compilation Screaming Fields off Sonic Love.
